100 Thieves Reportedly Targeting Gizmy as New CS2 IGL

100 Thieves is making moves.
The organization is reportedly in talks to sign Gizmy from Monte. The 22-year-old British player would take over as the team's in-game leader in Counter-Strike 2.
Rain Moving Out of IGL Role
If this deal happens, rain would step back from calling. He's been leading the team, but 100 Thieves apparently wants a dedicated IGL.
That makes sense. Rain is a skilled rifler. Letting him focus on fragging could unlock more firepower. IGL duties take mental energy that could go elsewhere.
Who is Gizmy?
Gizmy has been leading Monte in the CS2 scene. He's young at 22, but he's shown he can call at a high level. British players don't always get opportunities on top teams. This would be a big step up.
Monte is having a rough week. They're also reportedly losing core players to Luminosity Gaming. Two major roster hits at once is tough to recover from.
What This Means for 100 Thieves
100 Thieves has been rebuilding their CS2 project. Adding a young IGL signals they're thinking long-term. Gizmy could grow with the team.
The org has the resources to build something serious. They just need the right pieces. A smart IGL is usually the hardest piece to find.
No Official Word Yet
This is still in the negotiation phase. Nothing is signed. But the talks are real, and both sides seem interested.
We'll have more when the deal is done.
