Call of Duty Esports Has a Crowd Cheating Problem

Call of Duty esports has a problem. The crowd won't shut up.
Not the cheering. Not the hype. The callouts. Fans are actively helping teams by screaming information during matches. It's called crowd cheese. And it's getting out of control.
What Is Crowd Cheese?
Simple. A player hides. The crowd sees it on the big screen. The crowd yells. The enemy team hears it. Now they know where the player is hiding.
It's cheating. Just not by the players.
Why This Is a Big Deal
Competitive integrity matters. These players train for months. They study strategies. They practice setups. One loud fan can ruin all of it in a second.
The problem shows up in almost every series now. It's not random incidents anymore. It's a pattern.
What Can Be Done?
Some events use soundproof booths. Others delay the broadcast to the stadium screens. Neither solution is perfect. Booths are expensive. Delays kill the live experience.
But something has to change. Right now, the loudest fans are deciding rounds. That's not competition. That's chaos.
