Kin-Yoobi Con Nexus Esports Event Brings Tekken 8 and Smash Ultimate to Union City

A new fighting game event is hitting Union City.

Kin-Yoobi Con just announced Nexus #1. It's their first dedicated esports event. The tournament runs October 23rd and features three games.

What Games Are Featured?

Tekken 8 headlines the event. The game has been on fire since launch. Local tournaments keep the scene growing between majors.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is also on the lineup. The game refuses to die. Community events like this keep it relevant years after release.

Avatar Legends rounds out the roster. It's a newer title looking to build competitive momentum.

Why Local Events Matter

Grassroots tournaments are the backbone of fighting games. They give players a place to compete. They build local scenes. They create the next generation of pros.

Nexus #1 is just the start. If turnout is good, expect more events to follow.

Union City players now have a local option. That's always a win for the community.
