Paper Rex Collapse at Valorant Champions 2026 After Blowing 9-3 Lead

Paper Rex is out. The fan-favorite team has been eliminated from Valorant Champions 2026 in Shanghai.

It wasn't a clean loss. It was a collapse.

The Comeback That Broke PRX

Paper Rex held a 9-3 lead at halftime on Map 3 against T1. That's usually game over. Six rounds to close it out.

T1 had other plans. They ripped off round after round. PRX couldn't stop the bleeding.

When the dust settled, T1 had completed the reverse sweep on the map. Paper Rex walked off stage, their tournament run finished.

Is This the End of an Era?

Questions are already swirling. Was this Paper Rex's last dance with their current roster?

The team has been a staple of APAC Valorant. They play fast. They play aggressive. Fans love them for it.

But losses like this leave scars. Roster changes happen after heartbreaks.

What Went Wrong?

Leads like 9-3 don't vanish without reason. Economy breaks. Mental resets. T1 adjusted. PRX didn't.

That's the brutal truth of elimination matches. One team figures it out. The other watches their season slip away.

Paper Rex will have months to think about what could have been.
