7-Year-Old CS2 Player Signed by Esports Org, Immediately Banned by FACEIT

This is not a joke. A Ukrainian esports organization signed a seven-year-old Counter-Strike 2 player.

Inner Circle announced the acquisition. The kid goes by the aliases "kiberkatlleta" among others. He's seven. Years. Old.

FACEIT responded fast. Immediate ban.

Why the Ban?

FACEIT has age requirements. You need to be at least 13 to use the platform. A seven-year-old doesn't qualify. End of story.

This isn't complicated. Rules exist for reasons. Age restrictions in competitive gaming protect kids.

The Bigger Problem

Why did Inner Circle think this was a good idea? Signing a child this young raises serious questions.

Is he talented? Maybe. Probably. You don't get signed at seven if you can't play.

But talent doesn't override the rules. Or common sense.

Competitive esports is brutal. The pressure. The hours. The online environment. It's not built for elementary school kids.

What Happens Now

The ban stands. The kid can't compete on FACEIT until he's old enough.

Maybe in six years, we'll see what he can do. Until then, this story is a cautionary tale about orgs chasing clout over doing the right thing.

The story has sparked plenty of debate about age restrictions and competitive integrity in Counter-Strike. Fans following the CS2 scene can also engage with live competition on 1v1Me by staking pro gamers and winning cash.
