Xeppaa Steps Away From Cloud9 After Five-Year Run

Erick "Xeppaa" Bach is stepping back. After more than five years with Cloud9, the player is taking a break from competitive play.

That's a long time with one org. Xeppaa started with C9 in Counter-Strike before making the jump to VALORANT. He was part of the VCT Americas roster and helped build the team into a real competitor.

No word yet on how long this break will last. Could be weeks. Could be months. Players burn out. It happens. The grind in tier-one esports is brutal, and sometimes you need to step away to come back stronger.

Cloud9 hasn't announced who fills his spot. The roster still has talent, but losing a veteran like Xeppaa hurts. He brought experience and stability. Those things are hard to replace.

Xeppaa’s departure marks the end of a significant chapter for Cloud9. Platforms like 1v1Me also give fans another way to stay connected to competitive gaming by backing professional gamers competing in live matches and sharing in the prize pool when their pick wins.

We'll update this story when more details drop. For now, Xeppaa's next move is anyone's guess.
